Copy Trading or trading signals?
Both routes can use another person's market view. The important difference is how the decision reaches your account, how much discretion you keep, and what you still need to review.
Automatic copying and hands-on signals are different jobs.
Two routes
Choose the level of action you actually want.
The difference that matters
Keep the execution model separate from the source's marketing label.
| Question | Copy Trading | Trading signals |
|---|---|---|
| How a trade reaches you | The strategy's trade is copied into your account automatically. | You receive a trade idea or instruction and decide whether to place it. |
| Your discretion | You choose the strategy, copy amount, and when to pause or stop. | You choose whether, when, and how to execute each signal. |
| What you are reviewing | The strategy's record, copied execution, and your account state. | The signal source, the idea's context, and your own execution decision. |
| When you stop | New copied trades stop, subject to the service's rules. Open trades need their own answer. | You stop acting on new signals. Any trade you placed remains your responsibility. |
Ask what you want to own
If you want execution to follow a connected strategy, Copy Trading is the mechanism to understand. If you want to decide on each trade yourself, signals leave that decision with you. In both cases, your account terms and the trade's risk still matter.
- Want less manual execution?Study how the copy relationship starts, pauses, stops, and handles open trades.
- Want to choose each trade?Study the signal format, the context provided, and the execution decisions you will make.
- Want a clearer account boundary?Check where your money sits and who can withdraw it before you choose either route.
Currents keeps the routes separate
Auto Trading is the own-broker Copy Trading path. Calls and alerts are a separate, hands-on route. This page helps you choose the mechanism first; it does not promise a result from either one.
